Call For Knitters! Be a Part of a New Phenomenon!

The Cambridge Arts Festival; Saturday June 2 2012 is adding a new event to our arts: Yarn Graffiti.

Our Intent : is to place yarn graffiti in and around City Hall to add a different artistic flare on our event day.

Our Need: willing participants to knit or crochet pieces in any colors and any yarns.  Measuring (scarf size) 3, 6 or 9 inches wide and 36 inches in length. You can drop off any finished pieces at the David Durward Centre, 62 Dickson Street, Cambridge, ON,  Attention: Knit Knights.

We also need donated yarn; from your stash that you can part with.

We Will Be Holding Knit Nights with The Knit Knights:

Wednesdays: February 15, March 14, April 11 and May 9 at the David Durward Centre Lounge 7-9 pm.

Come on out and knit with the Knit Knights, learn more about our event, drop off any finished pieces or yarn and be a part of this great event. We will have yarns and needles available so you can join in.

After the festival we plan to donate the pieces to our community.

2011 CAF Festival Update

The 2011 Cambridge Arts Festival Planning Committee would like to thank all of our sponsors, vendors, and artists who were involved in this year’s event.

As those who were there know, severe weather conditions as well as concern for the safety of participants and visitors,  led to the cancellation of CAF as well as all other outdoor festivals in the area.  We are truly grateful for the understanding and support from our artists, vendors, and sponsors as we made this difficult decision.

While a potential rain date had been discussed, financial and time constraints have proved to be a challenge and the committee has decided instead to focus on making our 2012 festival better than ever!

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding the cancellation or the 2012 festival.

New Website!

CAF is building a new website!  During this transition, some pages may not be available. We appreciate your patience as we go through this upgrade. Feel free to contact us by email with any questions you may have –mail@cambridgeartsfestival.com

CAF Announcement – Rain Date

Announcement Due to severe weather and safety concerns on June 4th, it was with much regret that Cambridge Arts Festival was cancelled. We would like to thank all of our volunteers, sponsors, vendors, artists, musicians, performers, writers, and the City of Cambridge staff who gave their time and energy to this year’s event. We would also like to thank all those that came out early to the festival and those who helped out our artists during the chaos of the storm.

We ARE planning an alternate date for the festival some time this summer – so stay tuned here, on Facebook, or Twitter for updates.
